SKIN AGING: CAUSES AND HOW TO PREVENT

Hi there. My name is Joy and today we’ll be talking about skin aging. Yes, I know a lot of us wants to age like fine wine. Like myself, for instance. I want to be like this when I’m 60. So, yeah, I’m actually putting in the whole work. It’s a lot of work. I know. But then it’s worth it. Now, what is skin aging?

Skin aging is self-explanatory, just like the word says. Skin aging. It means the changes that occur as we age.

So what are those changes? Which is loss of elasticity. We have fine lines and wrinkles and rough skin texture.

Now, as we age, it’s normal to experience drier skin, thinner skin, loss of elasticity, and fragile skin. But then, some causes of skin aging could be over exposure to sun, taking too much alcohol, smoking, not having a good skincare, like a proper skincare routine.

And these can actually be managed. That’s why I’m always heavy on use your sunscreen. Apply it. Because sun exposure i.e over exposure to sun is one of the first culprit of skin aging. I mean, you don’t want to look 60 when you’re just 30. Remember, we are not waiting to age before we target aging. We are trying to prevent it so it doesn’t occur faster.
Now, you want to look 30 when you are 60 so this is the time to start. Don’t wait till you are 60.

You have to start your anti-aging retainers earlier 25 now, there are some ways that you can prevent aging.

Number one, you need to have a balanced lifestyle. Like you need to reduce stress. You need to reduce exposure to pollutions, you need to reduce your alcohol intake. If you take a lot of alcohol, cut it down. You need to reduce your smoking.

If you smoke, taper it down. I know you cannot stop but if you can stop, praise the Lord, please stop. But then if you can’t, you need to taper it down.
And you don’t want to skip your sunscreen.

Believe you me, you don’t want to skip it. You want to reapply like every 3 to 4 hours. You always have to reapply your sunscreen. You need a proper skincare routine loaded with antioxidants.

As you’re using your routine, of course you need supplements. It’s not just routine, routine, routine. You need good supplements as well.

Now, your proper routine should include majorly not include majorly antioxidants like vitamin C, vitamin A, which is your retinol, nysinomide, green sea. Of course, you need hydrators in your routine. You need moisturizers. So you need a proper routine to keep your skin bouncing.

And of course, you don’t forget the inside. You need to eat a balance diet. Like I said earlier it’s a lot of work but it is worth it. If you actually want to age like fine wine.
